This original illustration was drawn in Prince Edward County after visiting Agawa bay, and Thunder Bay in Ontario, Canada with my wife Emily before well before we were married.

I was inspired by the aboriginal artworks that we discovered along the way on that first trip together.

This peace is symbolic of a person rebirth, after a difficult battle that I experienced with mental illness. This artwork is of a spirit Totem. In a way, I was striking the past with a sword to swear in a new chapter of life. The ghost releasing from the blue totem Lovebird wears many hats.

This piece is charged full of meaning.
I held on to this artwork because of its significance to me as a one of a kind drawing, impromptu expression of what I was going through at the time.

It is now time for it to find a new home where it can be loved and appreciated.

Newly professionally framed, this piece is signed and dated on the back of the artwork on both the day that it was illustrated in 2018 and on the day it was updated before framing in 2022.

This piece is mixed media on paper. Primarily pencil crayon and ink.
